U3A

U3A

The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, through its U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!
Following a very successful launch meeting on 23rd May 2017 at which approximately 120 people attended, it was agreed that Martock would start a new group, a steering committee was set up and the new Martock Group has a full U3A Committee.
All are welcome to find out more, join and perhaps volunteer to start an interest group.  There are no entrance qualifications, set curriculum or examinations, members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them.

U3A meetings are held on second Wednesdays of month at 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Martock Parish Hall, Church Street, Martock.
