ASH BIODIVERSITY REPORT
The Natural Environment of Ash
Ash Parish Council has agreed to work being carried out to report on biodiversity as an aid to future projects and policies.
Work is underway to gather data from existing sources, but you can get involved. We need to monitor aspects of wildlife in the Parish and the more people helping, the better information we’ll get.
You may be aware of the annual RSPB “Big Garden Birdwatch” and the GWCT “Big Farmland Birdwatch” and may have undertaken the surveys this January. If so, please send any copies of results you have. If these are collated year on year we can get a better understanding of the local situation and what change is occurring. There are other ongoing surveys (e.g. Big Butterfly Count) later in the year.
If you’d like to help by pulling together the contributions, that would be a great help too.
